FOXCONN WORKERS DESERVES BETTER
1 year, 4 months ago

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or any other Apple product, please consider the following:

Apple posted a record setting net profit of $13.06 BILLION during the first quarter of this year thanks to the iPhone 4S. The people who assembled their products (iPhone, iPad, etc.) makes less than $1 USD a day (about $300 USD/year) while working their ass off 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. FOXCONN (located in China), who Apple contracted to assemble the iPhones and iPads, cannot afford to pay their workers more money because Apple doesn't give them enough to do so. Many workers at FOXCONN have committed suicide by jumping off the factory building because they couldn't bare the working conditions and low salary any longer.

If you value your Apple device more than the life of the people who shed their sweat and blood assembling that device so that you can enjoy it, then ignore this. If you are Chinese and don't care, then I feel sorry for you. If want Apple to fix this problem and/or live in the NYC area, go to the Apple store in Grand Central Station tomorrow at 10AM.

Change is desperately needed in China.
